Last saturday 6 Feb
Dear dear and I didn't go out shopping cos I didn't have any idea what to get liao haha. And cos I've been shopping online (so fun!) haha and so he came over to my house to pei wo lor. So I did some last minute shopping at gmarket and other blogshops. He came over usually only sleep... haha don't know why he falls always so easily on my bed. But I like my big big bed too, think I cannot stand it sleeping on single size bed =P
Papa brought home some leftover dishes from his company buffet and we had a simple dinner. Then Fu joined my family go out walk walk... just enought to sit in the car and don't need to squeeze cos Joseph was out. We went to clementi to amend Marcus' tailor-made pants, then we went over to Jurong East near my dagugu house's there to see wardrobes. Cos I needed a new one... After that, we went to Jurong West to see flowers, yup those cny one lor.
Dear was saying how come we one night go so many places in a span of like 2-3 hrs? Haha... cos got car mah. Ya lor, so Fu you faster go learn driving ok. And when we both work liao, we should save money buy house first, car must wait long long first then can if not keep dumping money and depreciating.
Fu was super nice to ask papa drive to CCK then let him take mrt there cos he thought it'd be troublesome to drive him to Boon Lay or JE. Actually really heng we went straight back to CCK cos I was having stomachache at the and the moment 花圃 and I went toilet the moment I reached home geez.
Last tues 9 Feb
Huixin's birthday. Wish her a good year ahead in terms of romance haha and good luck to finding new job! Miss ya, faster arrange a day to meet up with gera and me la.
Met Xiuling after her work to trim our brows at Gombak. It wasn't very impromptu (though decided in the morning) but I was spontanous haha... good right. I've been patronising Sothys at Vivocity for the past half year and had been there 3 times since July and I'd love to go back there but I knew I wasn't going to go so far alone just to trim my brows haha. Since I was idling at home and I had wanted to trim my brows anyway so just went with her lor cos it's a reason to catch up with her too ah.
Hehe, I took a pic of her trimming brows. She really made herself comfy and wanted to go to dreamland lor. We went to her house after that so she could pass me the thingys she got for me for my birthday. I know, I know it's over but who says NO to presents haha. So she got me a bum-it hair bump thingy, a nail file or something and a brow tweezers. Thanks babe!
Chatted with her the night before we met; shared our views on certain matters and most certainly, we talked about the group. I realised I've become quite pessimistic towards the bond of sc11, I'm really not as cheerful when I think of sc11 cos it's really quite hard to gather everyone now. How should I say, even though I know almost everyone has his/her other half and everyone is having lesser and lesser time with increasing responsiblities or workload I just feel that those aren't reasons. Indeed it's much harder to organise events and see some faces, much less talk to them, don't even say HTHT le.
Even though I agree with what she said, the guys have always been like this, they won't openly talk about meeting up or miss the group. But I can't help but feel that in the beginning it was perhaps ok because we have enough people planning and we were really trying to keep us close. If you are to tell me now they are still the same, then perhaps that it was all along those of us trying to pull everyone together and when I think that the existence is "ke you ke wu" I just feel sad.
Remember I said whenever I feel something, I tend to make the feeling stronger. So I just hope I don't have to feel something any worse... Of cos no matter what friends we are, friends we'll still be. I just hope we still have some special festivals or events we celebrate and have gatherings, just like last time. Otherwise when we slowly start to don't bother, we'll really progress to heck care de lor.
Last wed & thur 10, 11 Feb
In the morning I was grinding the spices into powder for my parents to make the wu xiang. Spent like 2 hrs on it... sitting in that same old posture I did on monday cos I was peeling ginko nuts la. And I sat for 4hrs soaking my hands somemore, all wrinkled lor. But haha when you let me do things like that I will properly do it for you de so no complaints also. The ginko nuts must crack the hard shells and peel the inner skin then I still removed the core cos heard that the core gives it a bitter taste. Mama said nvm but since I do hor, must make nice nice mah.
Same thing with the grinding, must grind till fine fine de then I see also happy haha. Still have to sieve and repeat few times. Yes, you may think it's troublesome but maybe only do this once a year so I don't mind at all. But thinking back, I've been doing this for past don't know how many years already, so to me it's a cny thing :) everyday do sure cannot take it la, unless I'm trained to be housewife hahaha.
Anyway I was tidying the old wardrobe cos it gave way already. Oops. Yep, the rod to hold the clothes gave way cos I must have hang too many clothes on it. Think some tee shirts don't have to hang up one hor. So pass to the bros to use temp since it still can hold some clothes de. As a result, my bed became a temp holding area for all the stuffs that were inside/on top of the old wardrobe. My room also became super dusty la... made me sneeze whole day lor. Spot the vicks (for my nose) in both pics haha... and there's eyemo and ax oil too.
What else can be spotted leh? Can you see the big white envelope in the left pic - that was a birthday card from my uni friends. The grey box in the right pic was from Olivia containing quite a number of little gifts and I used it to store some other things too. The pastel-coloured boxish thing was actually a fleece blanket Xiuling gave me. They were all for my 21st birthday ^^
Didn't manage to take a pic of the corner entirely cleared but just for comparison... after parts of the new wardrobe were delivered and assembled. It is almost up to the ceiling high and one door wider. The old one was just the size of two doors and without the top cabinet.
Now that corner is entirely taken up by this new furniture in my room... what I like most is the side cabinet in which I can place my bottles and bottles of products and other accessories and the mirror on the door (not pictured) cos I can now do everything inside my cosy room :) yea I want more revamping!
