Gynac visit

Went for my medical appointment at NUH Clinic G: Obstetrics & Gynaecology yeterday. I was referred from the cck polyclinic doctor whom I saw last monday.
Last monday, the doctor gave me three options:
1) do nothing and leave the menses to come on its own
2) take medicine to give signals to the body for the menses to come
3) go for further tests
Well, I don't wanna say much on the details of my condition, except it has to do with my irregular period. Precisely because I don't know the details of my condition, I have to go see doctor and know more. It's not anything serious and I hope it won't become anything serious either.
Had to take urine test, to rule out pregnancy. Ugh... but you see it's a procedure. =/

Drew blood out as well for other tests... and thyroid screening is one of them cos my mum has got hyperthyroidism. She's still on medication now because her production of the thyroid hormone by the thyroid gland is sometime over and other times insufficient.
In the meantime, I have to take the pills medroxyprogesterone acetate MPA, or commonly known as provera. I will start taking 2 pills tonight after dinner, for seven consecutive days. Pharmacist said the menses won't come during the seven days but will come few days after the medication.
After that will be just about the time I have to go back for follow up which is on 24th August. The next medical appointment I gotta do some gynae scan/ultrascan lor... and I must have a full bladder in order for the scan to work.
Breakdown of the services:
1) Consultation $66.90
2) Lab investigations
- Amenorrhoea $100
- Thyroid Screen $40
Total amount spent at the Clinic: $117 after government subsidy of $89.90.
3) Drugs $11.76 after subsidy: $1.40
